Current Codex custom providers use the Responses API. Tsubasa currently exposes Chat Completions, so direct compatibility is not claimed.

The tool needs an API dialect or behavior Tsubasa does not currently expose.

The current protocol requirement is not implemented. A speculative configuration would be misleading, so this page records the blocker instead.

Current limitations

Codex documents responses as the only supported wire_api value for custom providers.
Tsubasa does not currently implement POST /v1/responses.
Do not point Codex at Tsubasa until this page is promoted with reproducible evidence.
